Rick Redden is the Head Athletic Trainer at Saginaw High School. He helped to open Saginaw in 2005 and has 21 years of athletic training experience at three high schools. He began his career at Alamogordo High School (8/96-8/98), then moved to Lewisville High School (8/98-8/05).
Rick also subcontracts with Baylor Institute of Rehabilitations/Select Physical Therapy of Dallas. Rick is heavily involved with the National Athletic Trainers Assocation having served in committee positions. He is also a reviewer of the potential program for the national convention. On the district level Rick has served as a committee chair and a member of several committees. Rick is also active on the TSATA as a member of the secondary school convention. Rick is past president of the North Texas Athletic Trainers Association.
Rick is a receipient of the NATA Service award, the NTATS Aubrey Fisk award for Service and the SWATA Committee Chair award.
Rick has been fortunate to be associated with the 1997/98 Alamogordo Boys Basketball State Champions. The two-time SHS Boys Gymnastics team, Lewisville Boys Regional Track Champions and the Lewisville Girls Soccer Regional Champions.
Rick is originally from Alamogordo, NM and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in December 1995. He is married to Christy Redden and they have several children, Zachery Redden, Chase and Preston Hughes, Chalice McKnight, and raise their grandaughter, Zoey.
