Coach Hank Fulkerson joined the E.M.I.S.D family in the 2004-05 school year as the Varsity Assistant Softball Coach at Boswell High School. He started the Saginaw High School Softball the following year and is still serving in that position at the present time. He had spent one year in the F.W.I.S.D., four in the White Settlement I.S.D., fifteen years in the Grand Prairie I.S.D., and twelve years in the Birdville I.S.D. giving him forty two years of service in public education. He was teacher of the year in the Bidrville I.S.D. and was primarily a World History teacher.
Hank has three hundred and sixty wins in Softball as a Head Coach including a 5A State Championship at Richland High School. He has four Regional Finals appearances including one at Saginaw High School. Hank played on the United States National Softball Team in 1987 and won a Silver Medal in the 1987 Pan American games. He is a member of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Hall of Fame in Softball.
Hank attended Cisco Junior College in 1967-68 and the University of Texas at Arlington 1968-70 where he played baseball for three years. He transferred to North Texas State University where he graduated in December of 1971. Hank attended Diamond Hill High School in Fort Worth and married his high school sweetheart Wanda Taylor Fulkerson. They have been married for forty five years and have two daughters, Bree age thirty seven and Meagan age thirty two.
