Zach Henson

Head Coach - 6th Season
Coach Zach Henson is in his first year with Eagle Mountian-Saginaw where he coaches the girls and boys golf teams. Prior to this year, Coach Henson worked as the assistant boys and girls golf coach in Granbury ISD under Coaches Steve Ward and Becky Addison. While in Granbury, Coach Henson was part of a successful golf program which saw the both the boys and girls teams flourish.

In 2012 the Granbury boys won a district title, the girls were runners-up and both golf teams advanced to the regional tournament.  By winning  the regional tournament outright, a boys medalist advanced to the state tournament where he placed 3rd in 4A competition.  The following year Coach Henson was lucky to taste success again with the girls advancing medalists and the boys team advancing to the regional tournament, after placing second in district play.  The boys team placed second in the region, earning a berth to the state tournament where they finished in the middle of the field in 4A competition.  In 2014, Granbury once again advanced girl medalists and another boys team to the regional tournament. Granbury boys narrowly missed another medalist in the state tournament, losing in a 3-man, sudden-death playoff.

Coach Henson was born in Arlington, TX and attended schools in Everman and Burleson, graduating from Burleson High School in 2002.  He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History.

In November of 2014, Coach Henson will celebrate his fourth anniversary with his wonderful wife, Kacie.  The couple has two beautiful daughters - Lucie (2) and Ellie (6 weeks).
