Coach Eric Briley is in his 13th year of coaching at Saginaw High School as the Varsity Men’s Gymnastics coach. In his tenure at Saginaw, his boys’ team has 6 District Titles, 5 straight Regional Titles, and two State Championships in 2012 and 2013, along with State Runner-up in 2014. In addition to coaching, Coach Briley is a nationally certified gymnastics judge. He has judged two Junior Olympic national meets, along with several college and international competitions. Coach Briley was honored by the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce as the 2014 Educator of the Year.
Coach Briley grew up in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Angelo State in 1996 and spent 9 years at Abilene Cooper before moving to Saginaw. He is married to Carlynn Briley who teaches in the district, as well. They have a one daughter, Cameron Briley, and the whole family loves doing family activities around the Fort Worth area, especially going to the drive-in for family movie nights together.
