2017-18 Coaches

Brent Craft

Head Coach - 15th Season
Coach Brent Craft is in his fifteenth year to teach and coach in the state of Texas.  Coach Craft grew up in Saginaw, Texas and graduated from Boswell High School in 1999.  He was a part of the 1997 state baseball championship at Boswell High School.  He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2003 and began his career at Highland Middle School coaching football, basketball, and track.  Coach Craft was at Highland Middle School for two years.  He then coached at Boswell High School for one year as the freshman football, basketball, and baseball coach.  Coach Craft became the varsity assistant at Saginaw High School in 2006 for Coach Gary Schiffner.  He was honored to coach and win the TABC All-Star team in  2008.  He became the head coach at Saginaw High School in 2009, and is currently the head boys basketball coach.  They have made the playoffs at Saginaw High School in 2008, 2013 and 2014.

Mitchell Rose

Assistant Coach - 10th Season

Mitchell Rose serves as the varsity assistant basketball coach and an assistant track coach. He is currently teaching U.S. History. Coach Rose previously coached two years at Poolville ISD as the assistant basketball coach and head baseball coach. He began his coaching career in 2008 at Krum ISD where he coached cross country, basketball, track, and baseball. Coach Rose has reached the playoffs in multiple sports including a regional tournament appearance in both basketball and baseball.

Coach Rose grew up in Krum, Texas. He graduated from Krum High School in 2004 where he was an All-State basketball player. He then played collegiate baseball at Ranger Junior College and completed his bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University in 2008.

Mitchell is married to Jacqueline Rose.

Frank Arthurs

Assistant Coach - 10th Season

Frank Arthurs is in his first year at Saginaw High School after spending 1 year at Prairie Vista Middle School. He is in his 10th year of coaching and teaching, including stops at Keller, Waxahachie and Cleburne. Coach Arthurs is a native of Fort Worth and attended Western Hills High School. Coach Arthurs and his wife, Lisa have two grown children, Frank Jr. and Katie, and enjoy going to the mountains and playing golf in their spare time.
