Mitchell Rose is in his 8th year of coaching as he serves as the varsity assistant basketball coach and an assistant track coach. He is currently teaching U.S. History. This is Coach Rose’s second year as a Rough Rider since coaching the previous two years at Poolville ISD as the assistant basketball coach and head baseball coach. He began his coaching career in 2008 at Krum ISD where he coached cross country, basketball, track, and baseball. Coach Rose has reached the playoffs in multiple sports including a regional tournament appearance in both basketball and baseball.
Coach Rose grew up in Krum, Texas. He graduated from Krum High School in 2004 where he was an All-State basketball player. He then played collegiate baseball at Ranger Junior College and completed his bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University in 2008.
Mitchell is married to Jacqueline Rose. She teaches 5th grade at Austin Elementary in Weatherford, TX. She graduated from the University of North Texas majoring in Behavior Analysis.
Frank Arthurs is in his first year at Saginaw High School after spending 1 year at Prairie Vista Middle School. He is in his 10th year of coaching and teaching, including stops at Keller, Waxahachie and Cleburne. Coach Arthurs is a native of Fort Worth and attended Western Hills High School. Coach Arthurs and his wife Lisa have two grown children, Frank Jr. and Katie, and enjoy going to the mountains and playing golf in their spare time.
