Coach Sarah Thomas is entering her fifth year of coaching and her third year at Saginaw High School. She is the Cross Country Head Coach and a Girls’ Softball Assistant Coach. Prior to coming to Saginaw, she taught and coached at Brewer High School and Polytechnic High School.
Coach Thomas grew up in Bells, Texas. She graduated from Bells High School prior to completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics at the University of North Texas. She is currently teaching Algebra I.
Sarah is married to Nathan Thomas. They have a yorkie named Ranger.
Assistant Coach -9th Season
Mitchell Rose is in his 9th year of coaching as he serves as the varsity assistant basketball coach and an assistant cross country coach. He is currently teaching U.S. History. This is Coach Rose's third year as a Rough Rider since coaching the previous two years as Poolville ISD as the assistant basketball coach and head baseball coach. He began his coaching career in 2008 at Krum ISD where he coached cross country, basketball, track and baseball. Coach Rose has reached the playoffs in multiple sports including a regional tournament apparance in both basketball and baseball.
Coach Rose grew up in Krum, Texas. He graduated from Krum High School in 2004 where he was an All-State basketball player. He then played collegiate baseball at Ranger Junior College and completed his bachelor's degree at Tarleton State University in 2008.
