The following athletes have been nominated by the coaching staff at Saginaw High School for Athlete of the Week April 8 - 14, 2017. After viewing the great accomplishments of these young ladies and gentlemen, please vote for who you believe is most deserving. You will see the fan poll located to the left of the home page. The winners will be announced Friday. Good luck athletes!

Saginaw Softball Defense - The Saginaw Softball Defense was nominated by Coach Fulkerson. The Lady Rough Riders defense was nominated for one of the very best defensive games in Saginaw history in the game against Boswell.  Great TEAM effort.

Cole Vigil - Cole Vigil was nominated by Coach Henson. Cole finished 8th in the District 6-5A Golf Tournament at Bridlewood Golf Course last Wednesday and Thursday.  This finish earned him 1st Team All-District Honors.  "Cole is a great student-athlete who finished his senior year in a big way!" - Coach Henson

Bryson Hill - Senior, Bryson Hill was nominated by Coach Coheley. Pitcher, Bryson had a two-hit, 4-1 win over Boswell.  He walked zero, gave up two hits and struck out six. At the plate, he was 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBIs.  "This young man dominated the game in helping his Rough Riders claim a key victory." - Coach Coheley
