Thomas Makes Her Presence Known After Taking Over The Saginaw Cross Country Program

The 2015-16 Varsity Assistant Cross Country coach, Sarah Thomas takes over the program for the 2016-17 season. Three weeks into the school year, and Thomas is already making her presence known leading the Lady Rough Rider Cross Country team to two championships so far. The Boy's team is progressing each meet as well. 

The Saginaw Varsity Girls were Meet Champions at the Burleson Elk Run XVI on September 2, 2016!  Senior, Eva Mora led the way for the Lady Rough Riders with a time of 18:41 and a 2nd place overall finish!  The Varsity Boys finished 10th out of 18 teams!  The boys were again led by Junior, Michael Peacock with a time of 17:15!  

SHS Varsity Girls were Meet Champions, again, at the Brewer Bear Invitational coming in 1st place out of 14 teams on September 9, 2016! Senior, Eva Mora won the race with a time of 19:53.  She was followed by Sophomore teammates; Christyn Smith 2nd Place running a 20:15 and Ty'Asia Coleman 7th Place finishing with a time of 21:43.  Great job Lady Rough Riders!!  The Varsity Boys finished as a team 10th place out of 15 teams.  Michael Peacock led the way for Saginaw with a time of 18:48.  Keep competing Saginaw!
